About The Space…

How was your 2021 spent?! Mine was spent restoring. I took a giant leap of faith and my intention of completely downsizing and redirecting my career path was presented with the opportunity to expand. An opportunity presented itself for me to move my existing massage & esthetic practice to an alternate location. This new space would be near my previous location, however it was much larger, a 1200 square foot building. One of the major challenges was that this new space was built in 1942…which as it sounds is still pretty ancient (considering modern construction).

We are talking commercial grade carpet, track lightning, grid lighting (that buzzed), out dated window treatments …you get the picture. Some upgrades were probably done in the 80’s but the building still needed a lot of work and deep cleaning. From top to bottom. I saw so much potential and felt this was the direction God wanted me to pursue. I decided to set aside fear, doubt, uncertainty about HOW things would come together and put on my proverbial hard hat. I focused on WHO could make things possible.

I believed that if God brought me to it he was faithful enough to bring me through it. Would you believe that God brought amazing people, friends and clients who were instrumental in assisting in many aspects. From painting baseboards, to an encouraging word, to monetary support they stepped up. (My mom is still my number one fan liking reels seconds after they are posted. )

I was able to hire a team of trusted contractors that I met from a previous job (who are like family) that helped with many aspects of the remodel. I had friends who helped with the electrical, friends who helped build furniture and take mountains of junk to the dump. I also had friends that helped me move in on the 4th of July, and friends that helped me transport boxes from my home to office. God even gave me specific items that I needed which fit perfectly in the space (that’s also another post I’ll affectionately call “dumpster diving”)

So I look back on this time of playing project manager, while working with clients, navigating things in the world during 2021 and working through loss/grief in my personal life…..I’m so thankful that God saw me through it. Today I am so thankful for this beautiful space that I can share with my amazing guests. This truly is a space that welcomes healing, community,  peace and restoration for all those who enter it. This project was a tremendous undertaking however I am so thankful with how God showed up as Jehovah Jireh and continued to provide. I am thankful for those family friends and clients who supported me along the way.

Here’s your reminder that God is so faithful….keep seeking his will for your life get  dreaming so that you understand the unique gift he has purposed you for. When it’s a desire placed down on the inside of you from God it requires MORE than what you can do on your own. It will absolutely require his assistance. Trust that he will make provision.

Psalm 145:13 (NIV) ~ The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.
